Michael J. Bommarito II

Biography
Michael J. Bommarito II is a serial entrepreneur, researcher, and educator at the intersection of artificial intelligence, law, and finance. As CEO of 273 Ventures, he leads the development of the Kelvin Legal Data Operating System, building next-generation AI infrastructure for legal and financial services. He also serves as President and Head of Technical at the ALEA Institute.
Previously, Michael co-founded LexPredict, a legal technology company that was acquired by Elevate Services in 2018. His research with Daniel Katz demonstrating that GPT-4 could pass the Uniform Bar Examination gained international attention and helped spark the current wave of AI adoption in legal services.
Michael serves as Adjunct Professor at Michigan State University College of Law, where he teaches courses on legal technology and AI. He is an Affiliate at Stanford CodeX and has published research in venues including Science, Physica A, and Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A. He holds an M.S.E. in Financial Engineering, M.A. in Political Science, and B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
